Job Position Description:

This position is responsible for maintaining a clean and healthy environment for our customer’s building by performing the following essential duties and responsibilities.

Position: 5 days a week, Mon-Fri, 3 hours a day, start between 4:30 PM and no later than 6 PM, $15/hr, includes downtown parking spot. Other duties may be assigned:

• Perform all cleaning duties for facilities using provided ServiceMaster products, tools, and procedures.
• Cleaning duties include sweeping, mopping, polishing, trash removal, window cleaning, and moving chairs and equipment on wheels.
• Maintain inventory of supplies and equipment.
• Use proper PPE where required.
• Clean all common space areas including kitchen/break room, lobby/hallway, exam room, offices, and bathrooms.
• Place safety hazard signs in the building, including “wet floor” signs as necessary.
• 1 year experience as a custodian, janitor, or housekeeper is a plus but not required.
• On-the-job training will be provided to those with a strong work ethic and willingness to learn.
• Experience working for a professional janitorial company, office complex, hotel, hospital, or school is a plus.
• The ability to be flexible, work in a fast-paced environment, and handle multiple tasks is essential.
• Contribute to a positive work climate with a pleasant attitude and team spirit, including being in uniform, dependable, and punctual.
• Respect and understanding for co-workers and customers is required.
• Must be able to communicate in English.

Physical Demands and Qualifications:

• Constant (up to 100%) standing, walking, pushing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, twisting, reaching overhead and forward. Must be able to lift and carry 25 lbs.
• Ability to read and understand cleaning instructions.
• Ability to differentiate between cleaning products and their uses.
