Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School Diploma; advanced education or college degree preferred but will consider candidates with equivalent experience.
• Graduate of an accredited medical assisting program preferred
• Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CMA, NRCMA) preferred
• Three demonstrable years of hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant
• Current knowledge of Medical Assistant practice
• Ability to mentor a highly diverse student population
• Ability to work independently
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Canvas LMS
• Proficient in interpersonal oral presentation; excellent communication skills

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide medical assistant instruction to students
• Design and carry out lesson plans for each class taught
• Provide academic advising and career counseling to students
• Engage in retention activities and support program initiatives
• Collaborate with campus staff and adhere to company policies
