Job summary

Unitek Learning is seeking a part-time Medical Assistant faculty member to teach the next generation of healthcare professionals on campus. The schedule is evenings, Monday through Thursday, with potential daytime coverage as needed. Compensation is based on experience, ranging from $27 to $31 per hour.

The role involves student advising, retention activities, and supporting program and institutional initiatives while upholding accreditation and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Three demonstrable years of hands-on clinical experience as a medical assistant.
• Current knowledge of Medical Assistant practice.
• Ability to mentor a highly diverse student population.
• Ability to work independently.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; experience with Canvas LMS preferred.
• Strong interpersonal and presentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Educate and provide technological and academic training to students.
• Ensure students understand competencies for syllabus objectives.
• Design and carry out lesson plans for each class with accommodations as needed.
• Provide world-class service to students and coworkers.
• Identify and address barriers to student achievement.
• Provide ongoing student advisement and academic counseling.
• Utilize varied evaluation methods (cooperative learning, reports, teamwork).
• Participate in academic committees for program and student life enrichment.
• Support company initiatives by following policies and procedures.
