RWJBarnabas Health seeks a Unit Secretary for the Medical-Surgical Unit-I in Elizabeth, NJ. This part-time role supports nursing staff, coordinates communications, and helps maintain an organized patient care environment.

The position requires excellent communication, multitasking ability, and proficiency with EMR systems. Evening shifts, with every other weekend and holiday, are included.

Competenze

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Clerical, administrative, or customer service experience.
• Knowledge of medical terminology, EMR, and physician order entry preferred.
• Part Time from 3:00pm-11:00pm Monday-Friday with every other weekend and holiday.

Mansioni

• Welcoming patients, families, visitors, and physicians while providing customer service.
• Answering telephones, call bells, and intercoms, directing requests to the appropriate team members.
• Coordinating patient admissions, transfers, and discharges with accurate patient information.
• Entering physician orders and updating patient records using electronic medical record systems.
• Preparing, organizing, and maintaining reports and unit documentation.
• Maintaining supplies and an organized work environment to support daily operations.
• Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and the interdisciplinary healthcare team to promote efficient workflows.
