Job summary

Trinity Health is seeking a Pharmacy Technician to provide critical medication history support in Mercy patient care areas. You will interview patients and family members to collect current medication regimens, including prescriptions, over-the-counter drugs, vitamins, and supplements, and document them in the EMR.

Additionally, you will obtain allergy histories, clarify uncertainties with a pharmacist, and perform other duties within Iowa regulations and Mercy hospital needs during the Evening

Qualifications

• Proficient in obtaining and recording medication histories.

Responsibilities

• Obtain and record medication history including prescription, OTC, vitamins, and supplements in the EMR.
• Interview patients or family/caregivers to verify current medications.
• Record allergy history and clarify reactions.
• Consult with a pharmacist for unresolved medication/allergy questions.
• Perform other duties as assigned by management.
