Job summary

The Sherwin-Williams Company is hiring for a warehouse operator to safely operate forklifts and other material handling equipment on our D Shift (6:00pm–6:00am) in Kankakee, IL. You will load/unload trucks, monitor inventory, assist with quality checks, and support cross-functional teams to keep production on schedule.

Qualifications

• Minimum 18 years of age.
• Authorized to work in the United States without sponsorship.
• Preferred: 1+ year of experience in manufacturing/distribution.
• Experience operating material handling equipment.

Responsibilities

• Operate industrial material handling equipment including forklifts, pallet jacks, and hand trucks in a safe and efficient manner.
• Load and unload trucks with raw materials and finished goods.
• Perform spill cleanup and rework procedures as needed.
• Monitor raw materials and finished goods for quality.
• Follow policies and standard operating procedures.
• Keep equipment logs, perform minor repairs, and report breakdowns promptly.
• Collaborate with other departments to complete production orders on time.
• Monitor and replenish inventory of parts and supplies.
• Provide training and support to teammates.
• Contribute ideas to improve or optimize manufacturing procedures.
• Maintain a clean and organized work environment daily.
