Job summary

Belmark Inc. is seeking a Material Expediter to manage the flow of materials to align with production schedules. The role emphasizes safety, efficient stock management, and strong collaboration across shifts.

The job offers competitive benefits and a 2nd shift schedule (Mon-Thurs, 2:00pm-12:00am) with a base pay of $22.20/hour plus a $1.00 shift differential. A pre-employment drug test is required.

Qualifications

• Must be certified to operate a forklift.
• Ability to read, comprehend and follow simple written and oral instructions.
• Knowledge of the English language and the ability to write legibly.
• Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide whole numbers, decimals and fractions.
• Ability to operate a computer.
• Requires education equivalent to two (2) years of high school.
• Ability to meet deadlines. May be required to work some overtime.
• Requires nearly constant concentration and attention to detail.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety procedures as required by the role, and nurture a food safety culture by adhering to Safe Quality Foods requirements.
• Ensure correct amount and type of stock are at machines according to schedule.
• Return unused stock to warehouse.
• Responsible for accurate inventory management including computer entries and stock size changes.
• Deliver all non-stock items received to appropriate person or area.
• Ensure aisles are not blocked and that the stock press has a neat appearance.
• Coordinate with lead press operator to meet scheduling needs.
• Ensure next shift presses are stocked according to the schedule to reduce downtime.
• Assist during physical inventory.
• Use material transporting equipment safely.
• Back up the material handler.
• May perform other duties as assigned by supervisor.
• Dispose of waste ink, spent solvents, and other waste per guidelines.
