Job summary

The City of Falls Church is seeking a part-time Master Control/Camera Operator for FCCTV. This role records City and School meetings and events and facilitates access for producers in the evening.

Responsibilities include operating video and audio gear, generating schedules, and assisting public access members and students with equipment and troubleshooting.

The position is onsite, 10–20 hours per week, typically Monday through Thursday evenings, with occasional Sundays or Saturdays as needed.

Qualifications

• Basic computer skills required.
• Some experience with camera equipment is required.
• Ability to troubleshoot technical issues.
• Good customer service and professional appearance.

Responsibilities

• Operate video and audio equipment to record public events.
• Generate program schedules for cablecast and manage content.
• Assist public access members with equipment.
• Troubleshoot software and equipment for producers and students.
• Set up studio for events and ensure equipment is ready before use.
• Report anomalies to station management.
