Labcorp in Burlington, NC is seeking a Laboratory Supervisor to lead our Mass Spectrometry team. The role focuses on overseeing daily operations, ensuring accurate test performance, and delivering timely results in a high-volume clinical laboratory.

You will mentor staff, coordinate staffing, maintain quality records, and drive continuous process improvements while complying with CLIA, CAP and state regulations. This is a full-time evening shift position offering opportunities for growth.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in chemical/biological science or medical technology.
• 6+ years of clinical lab testing experience.
• ASCP or AMT certification preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work in a regulated lab.

Responsibilities

• Oversee day-to-day operations of the Mass Spec department.
• Ensure tests are performed accurately and results reported timely.
• Train, mentor and supervise laboratory personnel.
• Monitor workflow and ensure adequate assay coverage.
• Staff scheduling across shifts and respond to production needs.
• Address production issues and implement improvements.
• Maintain QC records and ensure regulatory compliance (CLIA, CAP).
• Collaborate on process improvements and documentation.
• Conduct bench work as needed and maintain competency.
• Manage payroll and personnel records.
