Job summary

Wellstar Health System seeks an experienced Radiologic Technologist with Mammography expertise to perform diagnostic imaging and ensure patient safety. You will prepare, position, and operate equipment, verify orders, and maintain image quality while protecting patient privacy and comfort.

Accredited Radiologic Technology education and ARRT Mammography/Radiography credentials are required, along with BLS. A fast-paced team environment demands clear communication and careful multitasking.

Qualifications

• Accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT Mammography and ARRT Radiography certifications are required on hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certifications required; instructor credential preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete patient history and assess contraindications for imaging.
• Ensure proper patient identification and correct side markers for all studies.
• Review radiographs for acceptable quality and release the patient.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and independently as needed.
• Maintain patient privacy, comfort and infection control during procedures.
• Coordinate with physicians and other technologists to ensure timely exams.
