Job summary

WellStar Radiology is seeking a Radiologic Technologist with Mammography certification to perform a range of imaging exams. The role requires dependable, capable performance, and the ability to operate radiographic equipment safely while maintaining patient privacy and comfort.

Expect to obtain clinical history, position patients, verify orders, and deliver high-quality images. Minimum one year of radiology and mammography experience is preferred, with strong communication and teamwork skills

Qualifications

• Accredited program in Radiologic Technology is required.
• ARRT Mammography and ARRT Radiography certifications are required upon hire.
• Current BLS and related certifications are required.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete clinical history and assess contraindications.
• Ensure proper patient identification and correct markers for studies.
• Review radiographic images and release patients with clinically acceptable results.
• Respond to emergencies and use critical thinking in procedures.
• Operate radiographic equipment safely and adjust technique for optimal images.
• Organize schedule and priorities to meet department deadlines.
