Job summary

Wellstar Radiology is seeking a Mammography Technologist to perform diagnostic imaging procedures with patient-focused care. The role requires accurate patient data, proper positioning and adherence to Safety, Privacy, and accreditation standards.

Responsibilities include operating imaging equipment, evaluating image quality, and collaborating with physicians and staff to ensure timely exams. A minimum of one year in radiology and ARRT Mammography certification are preferred.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Rad Tech.
• Minimum 1 year experience in Mammography.
• Excellent communication skills and ability to work under pressure.

Responsibilities

• Obtains complete clinical history and assesses contraindications.
• Ensures proper patient identification and marker use.
• Reviews images for quality and releases patients.
• Responds to emergencies and uses critical thinking.
• Follows RBAC when taking verbal orders.
• Organizes schedule and assists other technologists.
