Job summary

Wellstar Health System radiology team seeks a Mammography technologist to perform a wide range of imaging procedures with independent judgment. The role entails equipment setup, patient positioning, and adherence to QA standards to deliver high-quality studies while ensuring patient safety and privacy.

Required education includes an accredited Radiologic Technology program and ARRT certifications in Mammography and Radiography, plus BLS.

Qualifications

• Accredited Radiologic Technology program completion.
• ARRT Mammography and Radiography certifications are required upon hire.
• BLS certification required; instructor-level BLS preferred.

Responsibilities

• Obtain complete clinical history and assess contraindications.
• Ensure proper patient identification and correct marker usage.
• Review radiographic images for quality and patient safety.
• Respond to emergencies and communicate clearly with the team.
