Job summary

Wellstar Health System is seeking an experienced Radiologic Technologist with Mammography expertise in Georgia. The role requires performing a wide variety of radiographic procedures, ensuring patient safety, and maintaining quality images.

Flexibility with evening hours and independent judgement are essential in this position. The candidate should have an Accredited Radiologic Technology program, ARRT Mammography and Radiography certifications, and BLS certification.

Qualifications

• Accredited program in Radiologic Technology required.
• ARRT Mammography and Radiography certifications required on hire.
• Basic Life Support certifications must be current.
• Ability to communicate effectively with patients, physicians and staff.

Responsibilities

• Obtains complete clinical history and assesses contraindications.
• Ensures proper patient identification and marker usage.
• Reviews radiographic images for acceptable results and releases patients.
• Maintains privacy and comfort of patients throughout procedures.
• Operates radiographic equipment safely and maintains calibration.
• Performs pre- and post-procedure care and sterile technique as applicable.
• Organizes schedule and priorities to meet department needs.
• Adheres to RBAC when taking verbal orders.
