Job summary

The Pennsylvania State University is seeking a full-time Maintenance Worker Utility (Berks) to join campus facilities in Reading, PA. The role involves operating cleaning equipment, floor care, and light maintenance across buildings.

You will assist in setup for events, handle materials movement, and perform snow removal as part of a night shift schedule (4:00 p.m.–12:30 a.m.), with weekends off.

Qualifications

• Ability to read, write, add, subtract, and carry out instructions.
• Up to 3 months of effective experience.
• A valid driver's license and successful completion of a motor vehicle records check may be required.

Responsibilities

• Operate scrubbing, buffing, and shampooing equipment and hand tools as needed.
• Sweep, scrub, seal, wax floors and furniture.
• Remove and replace bulbs, tubes, and fixtures; manage blinds and window coverings.
• Move and relocate furniture, equipment, and materials; unload incoming items.
• Wash windows and other surfaces; assist with event setup and cleanup.
