Job summary

Smurfit Westrock in Greer, SC is seeking a Maintenance Technician for 2nd shift (3:30pm-11:30pm). You will install, troubleshoot, repair, and maintain mechanical systems of plant/production machinery to ensure optimal operation.

The role requires experience reading electrical schematics and performing preventive maintenance, with a focus on safety and quality. Competitive pay range $31.05-$36.03 per hour depending on experience, and opportunities for growth within a global packaging leader.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years of related experience and/or training.
• Electric and mechanical maintenance experience in manufacturing.
• Ability to read electrical schematics.
• Ability to read mechanical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems.
• Excellent verbal and written communication.
• Corrugated experience preferred.
• Electrical License or Journeyman License preferred.

Responsibilities

• Follow safety policies and maintain good housekeeping.
• Inspect equipment and repair bearings, seals, gears as needed.
• Analyze, troubleshoot, and repair mechanical problems using precision maintenance.
• Perform regular PMs to prevent downtime.
• Read schematics and troubleshoot pneumatic, hydraulic systems, PLCs, and motors.
