Evening Maintenance Technician – Multi-Skilled Trades

Job summary

Wequassett in Austin, TX seeks a maintenance technician to join our Engineering team, repairing and maintaining mechanical equipment and assisting other trades to keep the property clean, safe, and well-managed. The role reports to the Director of Engineering and leads the evening shift from 1:30-10:00 pm, Monday-Friday, including alternating weekends and holidays.

The pay range is $45,000-55,000 per year based on experience.

Qualifications

• Basic knowledge of skilled trade activities in plumbing, carpentry, painting.
• Knowledge of electrical and mechanical work basics.

Responsibilities

• Work with and under the direction of the chief engineer and outside contractors as necessary to assist with repairs and maintenance.
• Perform routine minor and moderate repairs and maintenance duties assigned, including plumbing, carpentry, painting, electrical and mechanical work.
• Change filters on all supply air fans and fan coil units.
• Clean all mechanical spaces, ceiling diffusers, return air registers, and toilet exhausts.
• Respond to guest requests for maintenance, such as changing light bulbs, fixing leaks, etc.
• Maintained and treat pool water with chemicals, cleaning, and equipment maintenance.
• Check arrival rooms thoroughly, following the guest arrival rooms list.
• Work daily in vacant rooms using the Rooms Tour punch list.
• Maintenance must have the Day pager on between 9-5 every day.
• Complete all Maintenance Request forms promptly.
