Job summary

GreenWood is seeking a Maintenance Technician III in Athens, GA to work independently and with plant personnel on preventative, predictive, and routine maintenance of production and facilities equipment. You will troubleshoot, repair, and optimize equipment while supporting safety and continuous improvement initiatives.

The role requires strong problem-solving, PLC/CNC experience, and proficiency with CMMS and maintenance software.

Qualifications

Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
Problem-solver with a safety-first mindset.
Ability to troubleshoot and determine root cause.
Experience with PLC/CNC equipment, troubleshooting and PMs.
Solid knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems.
Proficient with basic math and algebra for electrical calculations.
Simple fabrication and welding skills.
Ability to use precision measurement tools.
Familiar with CMMS and maintenance software.
Experience supporting a positive safety culture.

Responsibilities

Perform advanced electrical and mechanical troubleshooting on production equipment.
Carry out preventative and predictive maintenance.
Troubleshoot failures and determine root causes in a collaborative environment.
Participate in plant shift meetings and continuous improvement activities.
Use CMMS to manage work orders and review history.
Ensure safety procedures are followed and promote safety culture.
Develop, prepare, and present recommendations and reports as requested.
May drive a vehicle for company errands.
Other duties and special projects as assigned.
