Job summary

Buckingham Browne & Nichols seeks an Afternoon Maintenance Technician for a full‑time role in Cambridge, MA. The position runs 1:00 PM to 9:30 PM, Monday through Friday, with start date in October 2026. Responsibilities include painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing repairs, HVAC tasks, and light vehicle operation.

Ideal candidates have 3–5 years in building trades, a valid driver’s license, and ability to work with minimal supervision while following safety guidelines and work orders.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in building trades such as carpentry, painting, electrical or plumbing.
• Valid Driver’s License required.
• Basic understanding of electrical and HVAC systems; ability to read plans and specs.

Responsibilities

• Repairing/maintaining buildings and fixtures; painting, carpentry, electrical and plumbing tasks.
• Perform minor HVAC maintenance and electrical repairs; replace bulbs and ballasts.
• Operate light vehicles to travel on campus and assist with materials delivery.
• Follow safety guidelines and participate in waste removal and campus upkeep.
• Work with limited supervision and respond to work orders or emails.
