Job summary

CBRE in Schaumburg, IL is seeking a Maintenance Technician to maintain small to medium buildings and industrial systems while supporting a technology client. This is a second-shift role, Monday through Friday from 2:30 PM to 11:00 PM, with a valid driver’s license required.

You will perform preventive maintenance, repairs, and support energy management, review work orders, and ensure safety and code compliance across sites.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience (or equivalent).
• Driver license required.
• Ability to lift 50 lbs and meet physical requirements.
• Proficient in basic work routines and standards.
• Strong communication to exchange straightforward information.

Responsibilities

• Stay organized and manage time across multiple sites.
• Complete tasks safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Investigate root causes and support continuous improvement.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment.
• Review work orders and track completion with systems.
• Support energy management by ensuring efficient building operations.
• Inspect installations for code and safety compliance.
• Follow procedures to solve straightforward problems.
