Job summary

CBRE Group, Inc. is seeking a Maintenance Technician to care for small to medium-sized buildings and industrial systems for a major technology client. This day-shift role - Monday through Friday - focuses on preventive maintenance, repairs, and support across building systems.

You will perform mechanical and hardware repairs, review work orders, and help ensure energy efficiency while adhering to safety regulations. Prior experience with security equipment is a plus.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma, GED, or trade school diploma with 1-2 years of job-related experience; combo of experience and education allowed.
• Experience with security equipment is preferred.
• Must meet physical requirements including lifting up to 50 lbs.
• Ability to follow basic work routines and standards.
• Good communication to exchange straightforward information.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office products (Word, Excel, Outlook).
• Strong organizational skills with an inquisitive mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform basic mechanical and hardware maintenance, including repairs to doors, plumbing fixtures, and other building components.
• Demonstrate reliability by completing tasks safely, accurately, and on schedule.
• Investigate root causes, identify improvement opportunities, and support continuous improvement initiatives.
• Assist with installation and modification of building equipment and systems.
• Review work orders and track completion.
• Support energy management by ensuring building systems operate efficiently.
• Inspect installations for compliance with codes and safety regulations.
• Use defined procedures to solve straightforward problems and communicate clearly.
• Deliver output following procedures under supervision.
