Job summary

Herr Foods Inc. is seeking a Machine Operator to join our Nottingham, PA team. The role supports packaging lines, operates Hayssen and TNA equipment, and ensures accurate ERP data entry. You will start with shift 3:30pm–12am, Monday–Friday, with potential overtime as needed.

Ideal candidates are 18+, able to lift 50 lbs, with 1–3 months mechanical exposure, and comfortable in a noisy, fast-paced environment. On-site benefits and 401k with match are offered.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years of age.
• Must be able to lift 50 pounds.
• One to three months of related mechanical experience and/or training.
• Ability to work with latex gloves, airborne seasoning, cardboard dust, cleaning solutions, and hot water.
• Ability to work in a noisy and fast-paced environment.
• Good balance on slippery surfaces.
• Sustain concentration for up to 3 hours at a time.

Responsibilities

• Operation of computerized weigh heads, Hayssen and TNA packaging machines, and Blueprint automatic case packers.
• Observing machines to ensure correct packaging film, product weight, price, and code date for package integrity.
• Prepare machines for production start-up, including changing rolls of packaging film and ink tape.
• Cleaning and sanitizing plant and equipment including seasoning trays, machines, floors, ovens, etc.
• Ensure manufacturing data is entered and tracked in the ERP system.
• Update ERP records to reflect real-time production data and maintenance.
• Enter production and materials data into ERP, including raw materials and labor hours.
• Track inventory levels in real-time and coordinate material replenishment.
