Job summary

Maple Health and Rehab in Muhlenberg County seeks an LPN/RN Supervisor to lead the nursing service department and support the Director of Nursing. You will plan, develop, organize, and evaluate care programs while ensuring quality nursing care is delivered to residents.

Responsibilities include policy development, staff coordination, staffing determinations, supervising scheduling, and ensuring care by licensed staff and aides. Leadership in in-service education is required.

Qualifications

• Active LPN or RN license is required.
• Long-term care experience is required.
• Supervisory experience is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide support to the Director of Nursing planning, developing, organizing, implementing and evaluating the nursing service department.
• Develop, maintain, and update written policies and procedures for daily nursing operations.
• Coordinate nursing services with other resident services to ensure continuity of care.
• Determine staffing needs of the nursing service department to meet resident need.
• Schedule staff within state guidelines and supervise accordingly.
• Ensure direct nursing care is provided by licensed nurses, CNAs, and/or nurse aides as applicable.
• Review nurses’ notes for completeness and alignment with resident wishes.
• Incorporate training materials into in-service programs when needed.
• Provide leadership in setting goals for in-service education.
