Job summary

Verland in Sewickley, PA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse to provide exceptional care to residents at our Main Campus. The LPN will administer medications, monitor health status, assist physicians, and document care under the supervision of the Director of Nursing.

This part-time, non-exempt role offers 30 hours weekly with a 6pm–6:30am schedule on Fridays and Saturdays, contributing to an Interdisciplinary Team and ongoing care planning.

Qualifications

• Graduate of a recognized one-year practical nurse program.
• Current Pennsylvania LPN registration.
• At least one year of experience in an acute care facility or related field.

Responsibilities

• Administer and document prescribed medications and treatments.
• Assess daily physical status and report to Charge Nurse.
• Assist with physician visits as assigned.
• Document care given to individuals daily, quarterly and annually.
• Develop and implement health care plans as a member of the Interdisciplinary Team (IDT).
• Attend Nursing Department committee meetings as assigned.
• LPN will not insert nasogastric tube or obtain physicians' orders.
• Perform other related duties as required.
