Job summary

The Arc of Greater Prince William / INSIGHT, Inc. in Woodbridge, VA seeks a Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time evening shift in a residential group home. The role involves nursing care, med administration, and health monitoring for individuals with IDD.

The position offers a Monday–Friday 2:00 PM–10:00 PM schedule, 40 hours weekly, and a $30.00/hour pay rate with non-exempt status. Reports to the Director of Nursing and Program Manager.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN license in good standing with the Virginia Board of Nursing.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or ability to obtain.
• Strong communication, clinical observation, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of medication administration and nursing practices.
• Ability to work collaboratively with nursing staff and Direct Support Professionals.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and implement physician orders, care plans, and established protocols.
• Monitor health conditions including vital signs and health indicators.
• Communicate changes to the Registered Nurse promptly.
• Review MARs and treatment documentation for accuracy.
• Coordinate with pharmacies and Program Managers to ensure medications are available.
• Guide and reinforce nursing education for Direct Support Professionals.
