Job summary

The Arc of Greater Prince William / INSIGHT, Inc. is seeking a compassionate Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) for a full-time role at a residential group home in Manassas, VA. The position offers a consistent schedule and direct nursing support for individuals with IDD.

Responsibilities include implementing care plans, monitoring health, coordinating medications, and guiding Direct Support Professionals, with an emphasis on person-centered care and health safety.

Qualifications

• Active, current LPN license in Virginia in good standing.
• CPR/AED and First Aid certification, or willingness to obtain.
• Strong communication, observation, and documentation skills.
• Knowledge of medication administration and nursing practices.
• Ability to work with nursing staff, management, and Direct Support Professionals.
• Basic computer proficiency for electronic documentation.
• Valid driver's license and ability to meet insurance requirements.
• Commitment to background checks, TB screening, and training.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care and follow physician orders and care plans.
• Monitor health conditions, vital signs, glucose, skin integrity, and more.
• Identify and communicate changes in health status to RN promptly.
• Review MARs and treatment docs for accuracy and compliance.
• Coordinate medications with pharmacies and program managers.
• Educate DSPs on medical needs and care protocols.
• Assist with medical appointments and follow-up care.
• Maintain accurate nursing documentation per policies and Medicaid standards.
• Promote infection control, safety, and person-centered care.
• Collaborate with nursing and interdisciplinary teams to ensure continuity of care.
• Perform additional nursing duties as assigned within LPN scope.
