Job summary

Mt Regis Recovery in Salem, VA is hiring an experienced Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN/LVN) for part-time evening coverage. The position offers 20 hours per week, $24.50 per hour, with shifts Thursday through Sunday from 7pm to 5am.

The center provides detox, residential, partial hospitalization and intensive outpatient services for adults 18+. Nursing staff are expected to monitor patients, administer basic care, and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team to ensure safety and quality care.

Qualifications

• Graduation from an accredited school of nursing is required.
• One or more years' nursing experience in the clinical area provided by the facility is preferred.
• CPR and de-escalation/restraint certification required (training available on hire).
• First aid may be required based on state or facility.

Responsibilities

• Monitor patient health and provide basic nursing care according to the care plan.
• Model professional customer service with emphasis on patient safety.
• Collaborate with the care team to address patients' physical, biopsychosocial, and cultural needs.
• Provide comfort and carry out nursing interventions tailored to each patient's needs.
• Progress patients toward wellness and address ongoing maintenance.
• Discuss care with patients and respond to concerns; report changes to RNs and doctors.
• Communicate professionally with patients, families, and staff involved in treatment.
• Ensure safe delivery of medications per policies and physician orders.
• Maintain nursing standards per facility procedures and external guidelines.
• Document patient symptoms, progress, and responses accurately.
