Responsibilities

Study shop schedule and coordinate with project managers and piping superintendent to set shipping priorities and assignments.
Oversee outgoing shipping activities to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments.
Determine space requirements and loading positions for trucks to meet schedules.
Ensure compliance with legal load limits and company policies.
Supervise employees, including training, discipline, and resolving problems.
Inspect work in progress to meet customer shipping requirements.
Maintain and review time cards and perform performance reviews.
Communicate with other supervisors to keep product flow smooth between departments.
Identify safety improvements and promote a safe culture.
