Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED; or 1–3 months related experience.

• Ability to perform basic arithmetic in all units of measure.
• Ability to apply common sense in following written or oral instructions.

Responsibilities

• Study shop schedule and coordinate with project managers to set shipping priorities.
• Oversee outbound shipping to ensure accuracy and condition of shipments.
• Determine space and load positions on trucks to meet schedules.
• Ensure compliance with truck weight limits and state regulations.
• Supervise employees per company policies, including training and discipline.
• Inspect work to verify it meets customer shipping requirements.
• Promote safety culture and ensure safe work practices.
• Maintain or report on machinery needing repairs.
• Adjust workflows to meet production needs and improve efficiency.
• Maintain time cards and conduct performance reviews.
• Coordinate with other supervisors to ensure smooth product flow.
• Solve work problems and assist workers as needed.
