The Bethesdan Hotel, a contemporary, boutique-style property in downtown Bethesda, is seeking a Part-Time Line Cook to support the Front Office and Guest Experience teams. This leadership-oriented role is ideal for hospitality professionals passionate about guest experiences and operating excellence.

Hourly rate ranges from $20.00 to $22.00, with primarily 3pm–11pm shifts, plus holidays and weekends as needed.

Qualifications

• Must communicate in English.
• Self-starting personality with an even disposition.
• Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
• Can communicate well with guests.
• Willing to help coworkers and be a team player.
• Finger/hand dexterity to operate food machinery.
• Lift up to 100 lbs on a continuous basis.

Responsibilities

• Prepare food of consistent quality following recipes and standards.
• Start items prepared ahead of time without overcooking.
• Date and rotate perishables and maintain proper temperatures.
• Check par levels, prepare, and set up line as needed.
• Return unused items to storage, covering and dating perishables.
• Assist in controlling food costs and waste according to standards.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment and maintain sanitation.
• Adhere to attendance rules and be available to work regularly.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
