Job summary

The Douglas and Judith Krupp Library at Bryant University invites applications for a Library Assistant, Research and Instruction Services. The role supports librarians and manages the Research & Instruction Department during non-librarian hours, overseeing services and operations.

Qualifications

• Experience working with library materials, including print and electronic resources.
• Positive team player who is prompt, accountable and reliable.
• Ability to work independently, take initiative and focus on high-touch customer service.
• Detail-oriented with strong organizational and communication skills; comfortable with emerging technologies.
• Experience supervising student assistants or staff.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide basic research services in the absence of librarians and assist patrons with resources.
• Supervise and train Research & Instruction student employees.
• Maintain the reference collection and organize stacks.
• Troubleshoot equipment and assist users with MS Office and other software.
• Support library services marketing via digital signage and social media.
