The Grand at Spokane, part of Stellar Senior Living, is seeking a Lead Line Cook for evening shifts who aspires to grow into Sous Chef. Our kitchen prepares high-quality, from-scratch meals in compliance with safety regulations and company standards for our senior residents.

You will bring a positive, inclusive attitude, strong time management, and a willingness to learn and teach others, working with a dedicated team to deliver nutritious meals in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum of one year experience in a similar position.
• Experience with special diets and large groups.
• Safe food handling techniques required.
• Washington State Food Worker Card required.
• Ability to read and understand recipes.
• Team environment experience.
• Multitask and communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in maintaining a well-organized and efficient food service department.
• Understand and perform basic food production skills in a fast-paced environment.
• Demonstrate passion for preparing and serving attractive, nutritious meals.
• Manage ticket times and direct staff accordingly while cooking.
