Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent, PLUS training or relevant experience.
• 6 months training in an approved phlebotomy program, OR 2 years experience in specimen collection/processing.
• Alternatively, a 2-year degree in a chemical, physical, or biological science or health-related specialty.

Responsibilities

• Assign duties and tasks for the Laboratory Technical Assistant.
• Collect and process specimens for neonate to geriatric patients as needed.
• Assist in handling laboratory data collection systems and equipment to ensure proper ordering, cancellations and charges.
