Job summary

Chimes District of Columbia is seeking a Custodian to perform manual cleaning and space maintenance across multiple areas, including executive and command spaces. The role involves supervising team members, setting work quantity, and ensuring adherence to contract specifications.

Responsibilities include leading daily cleaning, transporting supplies, mentoring new custodians, and maintaining restroom and public area cleanliness.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Six months of custodial experience preferred.
• Custodial training desired.
• Van driving experience preferred.
• Candidates with disabilities preferred.

Responsibilities

• Comply with all Agency policies and procedures and follow contract specifications.
• Perform daily cleaning functions while also leading team in day-to-day activities.
• Transport team members, supplies, and equipment to assigned buildings.
• Act as mentor to newly hired custodians and ensure and report on quality and quantity of work.
• Lead and supervise custodians to ensure contract specifications are met.
• Respond promptly to supervisor or designated representative.

Education

High School diploma or equivalent

Six months custodial experience preferred

Custodial training desired

Van driving experience preferred
