Job summary

You will handle knives and kitchen equipment safely and contribute to maintaining high standards of food quality and customer service. Training and guidance to team members are key parts of this position.

Qualifications

• Must have prior supervisory or lead cook experience.
• Experience as a cook or similar role is required.
• Ability to work independently with limited supervision.
• Solid understanding of basic food preparation, cooking methods, and food safety regulations.

Responsibilities

• Schedules and assigns daily work activities to staff and supervises tasks.
• Trains and guides staff on job duties and sanitation procedures.
• Cooks and prepares food following recipes and production guidelines.
• Sets up workstation with ingredients and equipment.
• Prepares ingredients by measuring, weighing, chopping, and trimming items.
• Safely uses all food utensils including knives.
• Operates ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and related equipment.
• Cooks using varied methods on meats, vegetables, and other foods.
• Arranges, garnishes, and portions food per guidelines.
• Stores food per safety policies and procedures.
• Cleans and sanitizes work areas and equipment.
• Maintains excellent customer service with a positive attitude.
