Job summary

NGK Ceramics USA, Inc. is seeking a Lab Technician I for the 2nd shift (3:30PM-12:00AM) at Mooresville, NC. The role focuses on performing laboratory tests to determine the chemical and physical characteristics of materials for quality control, process control, or product development.

The position requires basic lab skills and familiarity with standard lab procedures. The candidate will operate various lab instruments, record results, maintain cleanliness, and participate in GMP/EMS activities.

Qualifications

• Must be able to successfully complete all required job training.
• High school diploma or GED.
• CRC Silver or higher.

Responsibilities

• Operates laboratory equipment and instruments such as microscopes, dilatometers, chemical balance scales, high temperature furnaces, optical measurement systems, and particle size analyzers.
• Tests materials to determine moisture content, particle size, and other physical characteristics.
• Records test results and enters data into information systems.
• Cleans laboratory equipment and prepares chemical solutions for tests.
• Follows EMS procedures and participates in 5S/PM/MMOL activities as needed.
