Job summary

NGK Ceramics in Mooresville, NC is seeking a production-oriented laboratory technician to perform tests that determine chemical and physical characteristics for quality control, process control, or product development.

You will operate microscopes, dilatometers, balances, furnaces, optical systems, and particle size analyzers, recording results and preparing solutions. Strong safety awareness and basic MS Office skills are essential.

Qualifications

• Must complete all required job training.
• High school diploma or GED is required.
• CRC Silver or higher credential is required.
• Ability to read gauges and scales and interpret results.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications is expected.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory equipment such as microscopes, dilatometers, balances, furnaces, optical systems and analyzers.
• Test materials for moisture, particle size, barcode readability and other physical characteristics.
• Record test results on forms and enter data into company information systems.
• Prepare chemical solutions and maintain laboratory cleanliness.
• Follow safety, EMS, and 5S/maintenance procedures as required.
• Assist in quality control and process control activities and data tracking.
