Job summary

Pacelabs in Minneapolis is seeking a Lab Technician I to join the sample preparation team in our environmental testing laboratory. The role supports scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis, following established procedures, and handling solvents and chemicals with proper documentation.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or equivalent and can work in a lab setting, standing for long periods and wearing PPE.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to work in a lab or office setting, stand for long periods, handle strong smells, and wear PPE (lab coat, safety glasses, gloves).
• Experience in a laboratory or environmental testing setting is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Support Scientists by preparing water and soil samples prior to analysis.
• Follow established sample preparation procedures.
• Work with solvents and chemicals for sample preparation.
• Maintain and update documentation and databases.
