Job summary

St. Louis Children’s Hospital seeks a Lab III Supervisor to lead a team of 15-20 staff during the evening shift, overseeing daily laboratory operations, scheduling, and performance management. The role emphasizes QA/QC, regulatory compliance, and maintaining peak efficiency across the shift.

The position requires a BS in a physical or life science, MLS/ASCP or equivalent certification, and 2–5 years of lab leadership experience. On-site role with generous benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical or life science field.
• MLS/ASCP or equivalent certification required or preferred.
• 2–5 years of relevant experience.
• Demonstrated supervisory experience in a laboratory setting.

Responsibilities

• Hires, trains, assigns work, and evaluates staff; conducts development plans.
• Develops and adheres to staffing, revenue and expense budgets.
• Supervises lab activities and maintains supplies per policy.
• Writes/updates procedures for areas under supervision.
• Schedules staff to cover 2pm–10:30pm shift and other needs as required.
• Ensures quality analytic performance and corrective actions when needed.
