Job summary

Pride Health is seeking an Accessioner I for our client’s laboratory team in Lynchburg, VA. You will receive, accession, and triage specimens, ensure accurate labeling and data entry into the LIMS, and maintain patient records to support timely clinical testing.

The role requires 0-2 years of experience, a degree in Biological Sciences preferred, strong attention to detail, and ability to work independently or in a team on 2nd shift (2:00 PM–10:30 PM).

Qualifications

• 0-2 years of work experience required.
• AS/BS in Biological Sciences or related field preferred.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent organizational and data entry skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Prior laboratory, specimen processing, accessioning, or healthcare experience is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Receive, accession, and triage laboratory specimens for clinical testing.
• Verify specimen information and ensure proper labeling and documentation.
• Enter and manage clinical data within the Laboratory Information Management System (LIMS).
• Maintain accurate records and patient information.
• Perform internal audits of clinical charts and specimen documentation.
• Collaborate with laboratory personnel and other departments to ensure testing accuracy and efficiency.
• Follow established laboratory procedures and quality assurance standards.
• Ensure compliance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
