Job summary

St. Louis Children's Hospital, part of BJC HealthCare, is seeking a Lab III Supervisor to oversee daily operations in the clinical laboratory.

You will lead a team, manage QA/QC, equipment maintenance, workflow and ensure timely, accurate test results in compliance with hospital policies. The ideal candidate holds a BS in physical or life sciences, MLS-ASCP or equivalent, and 2–5 years of supervisory experience.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a physical or life science.
• MLS-ASCP or equivalent licensure.
• 2-5 years of supervisory experience in a lab.

Responsibilities

• Manages daily operations (QA/QC, equipment maintenance, workflow, service levels).
• Supervises staff: scheduling, coaching, development, and performance evaluation.
• Develops and adheres to staffing, revenue and/or expense budgets.
• Monitors test analyses and ensures timely, accurate reporting.
• Updates procedures and trains staff on new methods.
