Job summary

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Experience with hospital information systems recommended.

Responsibilities

• Operate laboratory and hospital information systems to enter and retrieve patient data and test orders.
• Process outpatient lab specimens and accurately order tests and label specimens.
• Retrieve patient data and results for clients and physicians; use remote printing and fax as needed.
• Maintain HIPAA confidentiality and provide client service to physicians and staff.
• Answer and transfer calls; document add-on tests, recollects, and follow-ups in the client system.
• Support all lab departments and assist with transfers and courier coordination as required.
