Penn State Health Lancaster Medical Center is seeking a Laboratory Assistant to join the Pathology Laboratory. The role involves performing phlebotomies across age groups, registering patients, and ordering tests in the EMR.

You will also process specimens, collect specialized tests, and conduct breath alcohol testing as required. Evening shift with a $2.00/hour shift differential, full-time hours, and a supportive team in a teaching hospital setting.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Preferred qualifications include phlebotomy, certified nursing assistant, or medical assistant training and national certification.

Responsibilities

• Perform phlebotomies on patients of all ages.
• Register patients and order laboratory tests in the EMR.
• Process laboratory specimens and collect specialized tests.
• Perform breath alcohol testing as needed.
