Job summary

GDI Services is seeking an on-site Janitorial Supervisor to oversee and train the janitorial staff, ensuring safety and adherence to quality standards. You will participate in daily cleaning tasks and manage daily operations to meet client expectations.

The role requires supervising staff, assigning shifts, inspecting work, and addressing customer concerns while enforcing safety policies. Strong integrity and independent leadership are essential.

Qualifications

• 1 year of janitorial supervisory experience preferred.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to show judgment and to work independently and be able to lead the team.
• High integrity required.

Responsibilities

• Supervise and train the work of the janitorial staff in the building.
• Designate shift and area work assignments.
• Manage and employee relations or performance issues quickly and appropriately. Document and report to management or HR.
• Inspect the jobsite regularly to identify any quality concerns or project work needed.
• Identify and communicate the need for any special project work to management.
• Use floor cleaning equipment as needed (i.e. buffer, walk behind, spot-carpet cleaner).
• Respond quickly and appropriately to all customer concerns or complaints.
• Enforce all safety policies and procedures; immediately report and investigate accidents.
• Complete training courses as required.
• Cleaning restrooms, breakrooms, common areas, dusting and trash removal.
• Sweeping, mopping and vacuuming.
• Advanced floor care work as needed.
