Job summary

Diversified Maintenance is hiring a Janitor. The Janitor position is responsible for performing all-purpose cleaning and preservation of assigned area inside a particular building or multiple client sites.

Exact tasks of janitorial crew are not definite, consequently, must be flexible in performing assigned duties per client’s specifications. RESPONSIBILITIES: Maintain and clean floors, restrooms, and common areas; follow chemical usage procedures; empty trash; clean windows and carpets;

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent or a minimum of six (6) months of janitorial experience.
• On-the-job training will be provided.
• Attention to detail is required.
• Ability to follow instructions effectively.

Responsibilities

• Maintain and clean all floor surfaces including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing or vacuuming.
• Follow procedures for use of cleaning chemicals and equipment to prevent damage.
• Clean and maintain restrooms, meeting rooms, corridors, and entrances.
• Empty trash and manage disposal; operate compactor for certain materials.
• Clean windows, partitions and mirrors using appropriate cleaners.
• Spot-clean carpets and assist with carpet extractions and shampooing.
• Replenish paper products and sanitary supplies.
• Follow housekeeping schedule and routines.
• Occasionally operate heavy cleaning equipment like floor scrubbers and buffers.
• Perform other duties as assigned per client requirements.
