Job summary

OWENS CORNING in Stokesdale, NC is seeking a part-time Inventory Cycle Counter to help maintain inventory accuracy on the production floor and in the warehouse. The role involves cycle counts, scanning, and collaboration with Receiving, Shipping, and Production teams to verify materials.

The position requires physical activity, comfort with forklifts and RF scanners, and a focus on accuracy. Prior warehouse experience is helpful but not required, with training provided as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in warehouse operations, inventory control, or manufacturing is preferred but not required.
• Experience with RF scanners, forklifts or inventory systems is a plus.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.
• Basic math skills (addition, subtraction, multiplication, division, and simple fractions).
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, Word).
• Ability to follow standard operating procedures.
• Problem-solving mindset and willingness to learn.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic.
• Ability to perform physical tasks including frequent walking, standing, bending, and lifting throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a manufacturing and warehouse environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform cycle counts and reconcile physical inventory against system records, documenting discrepancies.
• Execute basic inventory scanning transactions to maintain system accuracy.
• Work with Receiving, Shipping, and Production teams to locate and verify materials as needed.
• Support FIFO practices by identifying and rotating aging or misplaced materials.
• Assist in resolving inventory issues by working with supervisors and team members.
• Assist with labeling, bay organization, and location accuracy.
• Prepare areas for physical inventory events (sorting, organizing, staging materials).
• Communicate clearly and professionally when reporting counts or escalating issues.
• Safely move materials using carts, pallet jacks, or forklifts.
• Perform other duties as assigned by leadership.
