Job summary

ConGlobal is seeking an Intermodal Equipment Operator (Terminal Operator) in Louisville, KY. You will move containers using hostlers, cranes, top loaders and side loaders to keep freight moving on time.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, the ability to lift up to 50 lbs, and willingness to work outdoors, with weekend/holiday availability. Training includes Groundman duties and safety-focused operations in a fast-paced intermodal yard.

Qualifications

• Must pass a pre-employment background check, physical and drug screening.
• Valid driver’s license required and must be able to lift up to 50 lbs.
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions and on weekends/holidays.

Responsibilities

• Operate heavy equipment to load/unload shipping containers from railcars and trucks.
• Drive hostlers to position containers and chassis within the yard.
• Use top loaders, side loaders, or cranes to stack/move containers.
• Perform Groundman duties during initial training and assist with railroad maintenance.
• Inspect equipment before and after use to ensure safety and reliability.
• Communicate with yard personnel to coordinate moves and tasks.
• Maintain a safe work environment following established protocols.
