Job summary

MedVet is seeking a Nursing & ICU Veterinary Technician in Dallas for a Thursday–Saturday, 4p–4a schedule. You will supervise patients, assist with anesthesia, perform in-house labs, and educate clients while collaborating with a dynamic care team.

Qualifications

• State Registered Veterinary Technician license preferred.
• Prior veterinary experience required; nursing or critical care experience desired.
• Proficient in calculations (drugs, CRIs, unit conversions).
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and flexible hours.

Responsibilities

• Record and deliver organized rounds, discuss cases and gather information.
• Evaluate incoming patients and prioritize based on assessment.
• Collaborate with the care team on treatment plans and nursing care.
• Educate clients on home care, meds, and hospital updates.
• Assist DVM with assessment, treatment and procedures.
• Provide monitoring and nursing care to hospitalized patients.
• Induce and monitor anesthesia and sedation procedures.
• Perform in-house and prepare samples for outside labs.

Education
