Job summary

Waynesville Inn & Golf, Tapestry by Hilton in North Carolina is seeking an Evening Houseperson responsible for maintaining the cleanliness of the hotel's common areas, including lobbies, stairwells, fitness centers, offices, bathrooms, meeting spaces and restaurant spaces. The role supports room attendants and helps keep a welcoming environment.

Experienced in housekeeping and customer-focused cleaning, you will follow health and safety rules and assist with supplies and maintenance requests.

Qualifications

  • Experience in housekeeping or janitorial in a hotel or commercial setting.
  • Experience cleaning in a customer-focused environment.
  • High school diploma, GED, or equivalent.

Responsibilities

  • Greet guests and respond to requests.
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment in common areas.
  • Clean and maintain common areas of the hotel such as lobbies, stairwells, fitness centers, offices, bathrooms, meeting spaces and restaurant spaces.
  • Assist room attendants as needed, strip rooms, bring supplies, take out garbage.
  • Sweep and mop floors.
  • Vacuum carpets.
  • Dust and polish furniture.
  • Empty trash containers.
  • Report any technical issues and maintenance needs.
  • Restock cleaning cart and/or supplies.
  • Follow all health and safety rules.
  • Attend meetings as required.

The Evening Houseperson is responsible with maintaining the overall cleanliness of the common areas of the hotel.

Essential Job Functions
  • Greeting guests and responding to requests
  • Maintain a healthy and safe environment in common areas
  • Cleaning and maintaining common areas of the hotel such as lobbies, stairwells, fitness centers, offices, bathrooms, meeting spaces and restaurant spaces
  • Assisting room attendants as needed, stripping rooms, bringing supplies, taking out garbage
  • Sweeping and mopping floors
  • Vacuuming carpets
  • Dusting and polishing furniture
  • Emptying trash containers
  • Reporting any technical issues and maintenance needs
  • Restocking cleaning cart and/or supplies
  • Follow all health and safety rules
  • Attends meetings as required
Experience and Education

Experience housekeeping, janitorial, or similar in a hotel or commercial environment

Experience cleaning in a customer focused environment

Minimum High school diploma, GED or equivalent
