Job description

We are seeking a dedicated Housekeeping Associate to join our team at the StateView Hotel.

Responsibilities

• Engage with guests to ensure their stay is going well
• Work as a team to accomplish the goal of resort/hotel cleanliness
• Keep work cart orderly and properly stocked
• Properly utilize equipment, supplies, and guest amenities
• Perform thorough cleanliness and sanitation of assigned guest areas
• Daily change and inspection of linens and towels, following the standards set forth in the Green Program
• Practice safety standards and be aware of hazards (e.g., broken glass, frayed electrical cords, leaks, broken locks, suspicious persons) and report them appropriately
• Respect guests’ property at all times
• Maintain responsible care of equipment
• Report to work on time and according to the posted schedule, maintaining accurate time records and following proper standards for issuing rooms
• Remain alert, courteous, and helpful to guests and co‑workers at all times
• Perform other related duties as requested by the Floor Supervisor

Qualifications

• Housekeeping experience desirable
• Neat, pleasant personality

• Ability to read room numbers, dates, and basic instructions
• Ability to move, traverse, and position oneself to reach corners on floors and high places; observe conditions, detect odors, and navigate carts weighing up to 100 lbs in tight spaces; operate equipment including spray bottles, vacuums, mops, brooms, dust pans, scrub pads, and dusters
• Lift, carry, and position loads of at least 25 lbs

Compensation

$16.00 – $16.00 per hour
